A Commander Cross in 14K Gold, featuring a red enamelled Maltese cross with ball finials, double headed eagles in each quadrant, with half arch in each arms knee, the medallion features the initials of the saint SS, the reverse is plain with SS medallion, marked on the 12 o'clock arm BA and a partial "" on the 6 o'clock arm denoting Eduard VD (Varvara Dietwald) of St. Petersburg manufacture,
